Men and Women rugby sit on top

19, Nov | 14:51 | Posted By: Rugby (Request Membership)

A brief note to say that our Men's 1st XV and Women's 1st XV both sit on top of their respective leagues with 6 wins from 6. The reults from weekend 10/11 saw our men go north to defeat Dungannon 15-22 (having trailed 15-3 at half time) and our Women saw off Arklow 22-5 at home.

Stand out players were second year student Daniel Murphy, third year student Brendan McSorely in the mens fixture and Orla Murray (first year) and Bianca Paun (fourth year) in the women's fixture.

Our Premier under 20 men (with 10 first year and 10 second year MU students) had a superb win in tricky conditions at home 24-7 against rugby powerhouse Blackrock College RFC which gives the lads great belief ahead of their next fixture this Sunday (25th) away at Old Belvedere RFC.

As always, we cater for all playing levels and commitments with 5 men teams, premier under 20  men and 2 womens sides (first time ever) currently!
